It is very important to purchase the correct flex of a stick. A general rule of thumb is that your flex should be roughly half of the player's body weight. Also note that while the height of a stick depends on player preference, it's advised that the stick should end between the player's chin and nose when standing. Added surface texture has also been applied to the top layer of the shaft to make it easy for kids to maintain optimal grip on the ice.
