The ultimate tool for digging razor and gapper clams on sandy beaches. The valve action vent tube on the clam gun is truly the magic! The valve is designed to close as the gun enters the sand. It then opens as the gun is pulled up, breaking the natural occurring vacuum, and making it much easier to pull out of the sand. This reduction in pull weight means it is easier on the diggers back, shoulders and knees, allowing many more people the opportunity to dig that otherwise may not be able to with conventional guns. To be honest, there are other guns on the market with various types of vent tubes that are also effective at making it easier to pull out of the sand.
